My work is a culmination of my love of colour and a life long addiction of doodling. No piece of paper was ever safe near the wall phone, on the kitchen bench or wherever it lay. School books, text books and uni note pads were always covered (inside and out). I'm a multi tasker! I've mastered the art of listening at meetings and doodling many a design. I'm lost without a pen and paper.
My love of colour is also life long. It's all around me. I live in a colourful house with a vibrant garden. Luckily my family loves colour too. My work will always be colourful. I can't help it! I've tried the subtle palette but ultimately the work always ends in a colourful way.
I'm especially drawn to our Australian landscape, the amazing views from above, the colours, shapes and the enormous night sky. As a retro, mid century addict you'll notice elements of pattern and colour in my work. I especially love a brown and orange colour combo.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my work. Hopefully you like what you see! I don't do this full time (fingers crossed for one day) so painting spells are intermittent. Hopefully less and less!
